Matthias Luafutu

 

Matthias Luafutu has been acting for the best part of two decades, starting out with the theatre group Te Rakau in the early 2000s.

He worked with Oscar Kightley and Sam Neill in crime-drama Harry, had a pivotal role in multi-award-winning Kiwi feature Shopping, but is perhaps best known for his role in feature Coming Home in the Dark. This film had its World Premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and he was awarded Best Supporting Actor for his performance at the Loudoun Film Festival.

Other notable credits include roles in feature Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johannson and Netflix’s Manga-extravaganza Cowboy Bebop.
