Danielle Cormack

Danielle is a multi-award winning actress with a CV that spans across theatre, film and television in both New Zealand and Australia.
After working consistently in New Zealand during her early career, and receiving numerous nods from various industry award bodies, Danielle rose to prominence in Australia with her compelling and nuanced portrayals of crime matriarchs Kate Leigh in Underbelly and Bea Smith in Wentworth. She has received multiple award nominations for both shows and went on to win the Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress for Wentworth. She was also recognised with the Best Actress accolade at the NZ TV Awards for her role in NZ drama Fresh Eggs. Since wrapping her long run on Wentworth she has worked consistently in Australia and New Zealand, most recently appearing in Erotic Stories, Secret City and The Secrets She Keeps.
In 2017 she co-founded Four One One Productions and co-produced her directorial debut short-film Why We Fight, which has now won multiple awards.
Danielle is a long running ambassador for NGO’s Childfund NZ and Australia and Shine for Kids.
