Ben Hurley

One of the most recognisable comedy voices to come out of Aotearoa, Ben Hurley (Ngāti Porou) cut his teeth in Wellington’s comedy scene before heading to the UK, where he performed at the Edinburgh Festival, toured nationally with Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant and Ed Byrne, and played to thousands in the comedy tents of Reading, Leeds and V Festivals.
Back home, he’s a household name - winner of many awards including both the Billy T and Fred Dagg Awards - but perhaps best known as a long-time panellist on 7 Days, and regular on contributor on Seven Sharp. His many screen credits include Have You Been Paying Attention, Patriot Brains, Would I Lie To You and multiple iterations of the NZ International Comedy Festival Gala.
A regular voice with the Alternative Commentary Collective, Ben is also an in-demand MC across corporate, industry and live events.
