Becky Kuek

Becky Kuek (郭金玫) is a multi-genre Writer, Director, Producer and Actor with a strength for crafting entertaining stories powered by a meaningful underlying message.

Having trained and worked as an actor in LA; London; and Sydney, in 2018 Becky returned home to Auckland to produce; direct; write; edit; and star in two seasons of Tales of Nai Nai - Aotearoa’s first Asian-themed animated TV series. Becky has also written for Kiwi comedies like Quimbo’s Quest and My Favourite Dead Person, in addition to lending her voice to many animated characters across multiple short films and TV series.

Becky is a NZ Writers Guild board member, and is passionate about empowering, upskilling, and creating jobs for underrepresented filmmakers. Through her production company Mooncake, Becky has many animated and live-action projects in development.
