Zach Te Maari

 

Zach (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Ngāi Tahu)  is an emerging actor who recently graduated from Unitec Performing Arts School. Prior to Unitec, Zach studied for two years at the Hagley Theatre Company, honing his craft and working closely alongside Ara Broadcasting School. He was also a part of the very first year of the Jester’s Youth Company at the Court Theatre.

Stage highlights to date are playing Michael in The 53rd Victim, directed by Miriama McDowell and Rawdon in Vanity Fair, directed by Cherie Moore. Zach was also nominated for South Pacific Pictures Best Acting Award in 2023 for the role of Victor in the short film Half-Truth at the NZYFF

Zach is a dynamic actor who is also fluent in New Zealand Sign Language (NSL). He approaches all his work with honesty and playfulness.
