Pax Assadi
Pax began his journey in comedy just over a decade ago, and he has quickly risen to become one of our most sought after artists on both the comedy stage and screen. He has been nominated for numerous comedy awards over the years, including for the Billy T Award in 2013, the NZCG Breakthrough Comedian of the year in 2015, and the prestigious Fred Award in 2016.
You may recognise him as the host of the ever popular The Great Kiwi Bake Off, or from his many appearances on 7 Days, and he was also a regular guest comedian on The Project. Raised by Refugees, the comedy he created, wrote and starred in, received both popular and critical acclaim, with season one receiving the award for Best Comedy at the NZTV Awards in 2022.
Pax’s work showcases his unique perspective on life, a blend of insightful observations coloured with hectic personal stories, an approach which has proven to resonate with a wide audience.
