Jacque Drew
Jacque Drew is an award-winning actor with close to four decades of professional stage and screen experience across the United States and Aotearoa. Her career spans classical theatre, contemporary stage work, as well as local and international screen projects.
Originally from the US, Jacque was a founding member of Portland’s Tygres Heart Shakespeare Company, where she performed in more than a dozen of Shakespeare’s plays and held leadership roles as Educational Director and later Artistic Director. Since relocating to New Zealand, she has built a substantial stage career, working with Auckland Theatre Company, Silo Theatre, The Court Theatre, Pop-Up Globe, Indian Ink, Tadpole Productions, and The Fortune Theatre.
Alongside her theatre work, Jacque has developed a strong screen presence, appearing in many international and local productions. Credits include The Power of the Dog, One of Us Is Lying, The Wilds, The Royal Treatment, Heart Eyes, M3GAN 2.0, and a recurring role in the newly launched series Spartacus: House of Ashur.
Jacque is also co-director of AYA Drama School in Auckland and works extensively as a voice and dialect coach across stage and screen. She is also a frequent guest tutor at leading acting training institutions, bringing her extensive experience as a performer and educator into every space she works.
