Brenda Kendall’s prolific and esteemed career began with her debut as Officer Knox on the iconic Australian drama Prisoner. Further roles followed quickly, among them The Sullivans, Jane Campion’s An Angel at My Table and Peter Jackson’s Brain Dead.
She has the ability to play any character in any genre which she has proved over a long career, with small screen credits ranging from The Brokenwood Mysteries, Shortland Street and Xena: Warrior Princess, to silver screen roles in Out of the Blue; Niki Caro’s Memory and Desire and the recent cult-hit Nude Tuesday.
